Capitol Hill

Capitol Hill's Volunteer Park began in 1876, when the City of Seattle bought 40 acres for $2,000, and the Olmsted Brothers prepared its formal plans between 1904 and 1909. The park is home to the Volunteer Park Conservatory and the Seattle Asian Art Museum.
